Megan was diagnosed with Celiac Disease on her birthday at the age of 17. As a young girl, Megan spent hours watching her grandmother create breathtakingly beautiful cakes that tasted just as good as they looked. After Megan’s grandmother passed, Megan and her dad continued to carry on the cake baking and decorating legacy. This became great time together and they spent hours perfecting their cake decorating skills. Megan was devastated when she found out that she had Celiac Disease which meant no more of her favorite cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc.
But this did not stop Megan. The Celiac was a mere road bump in Megan’s cake decorating work. She then focused on creating amazing cakes that looked and tasted wonderful. She believes that everyone, even if they are gluten intolerant, deserves a scrumptious cake that is sure to awe the crowd. That is why Megan started Gluten Free Cakery.
